ALERT: At the RCCS Reopening Committee Meeting held on Jan. 8, 2021 it was decided that based on local health department Covid-19 related data it would best for the safety and well-being of our school community to remain FULLY REMOTE until Wednesday, April 14, 2021 when we will reopen for Hybrid Model "in person" learning for Scholar Cohorts A and B. As mentioned during the Parent Advisory Group (PAG) Meeting on January 11, 2021, the option of Cohort C Full Remote Learning will still be available for families, even when we reopen for Hybrid Model "in-person" learning. Food Distribution and Tech Assistance will continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Any immediate assistance needed please contact Ms. Torres, main office manager at mtorres@rosevillecharter.org

About Us

Dear RCCS Families:

Dr Ledford

We are virtually approaching the middle of the school year already, here at Roseville Community Charter School and we are super excited about what we have in store for your children in the next half of the school year… even while they are learning remotely!

As you know, the mission of RCCS is to is to develop within our scholars the character and discipline required to achieve academic excellence in high school, college and beyond! With this in mind, we emphasize 5 core values: Collaboration, Honesty, Excellence, Effort and Respect, which we call our C.H.E.E.R. values! These are the cornerstone of our educational programming as we understand that intelligence plus character should be the true goal of education.

Although we will remain fully remote into the new year and the next marking period, we will continue to provide your children with rigorous instruction, special schoolwide events, and engaging activities to help them continue to make good academic progress which is our primary school goal. In addition, we will continue to work to increase the social / emotional development of our scholars as another way to help them increase their academic achievement. With this in mind, we continue to offer Leadership Initiatives such as Student Council, Peer Leadership, CHEERLeaders, and Safety Patrol. Monthly virtual field trips and virtual family night events will also continue as a way to help to make the school year fun and engaging even while having to be apart for now!

On January 19th, as our updated RCCS Reopening Plan details, we plan to reopen for “in-person” learning with a Hybrid School Model. All families who have already chosen Cohort A, B or C will keep their selection unless you choose to continue full remote learning and then you would be a part of Cohort C (remote). A cohort assignment reminder letter will be emailed to all families prior to Jan. 19th if we are still able to reopen for “in-person” learning. We are so lucky that at RCCS we were able to provide your children with their own school-issued laptops to use at home while working remotely and their own laptop to use at school! We will continue to provide them with what they need to succeed!

We look forward to working with you to continue making this virtually the BEST school year ever!
