RCCS Summer Academy begins on Monday, June 30

Please mark your calendars and join us in celebrating our scholars' accomplishments as we close out the school year together!

During the weeks of May 5th - May 16th all RCCS scholars in grades 3 and 4 participated in the NJ Student Learning Assessment (NJSLA) and each morning as they arrived, our team of teachers, administrators, and support staff were ready with positive praise, self-esteem “boosters”, and words of affirmation to get them off to a GREAT start! Our scholars enjoyed arriving each morning for testing and their expressions of confidence was evidence of the positive impact of these daily arrival activities! At Roseville Community Charter School, we have the BEST scholars and the BEST staff too! 💚💛

NJSLA testing for Grades 3 and 4 has begun. Please ensure students arrive on time and well-rested. Thank you for supporting a smooth testing experience!

Roseville Community Charter School’s charter has just been renewed for another maximum 5 years AND we were approved to add Grade 5 to our educational program starting SY 2025-2026!

On January 9, 2025, Roseville Community Charter School hosted our Family Literacy Night to rave reviews! The Outer Space theme for this family literacy event was to communicate to our scholars and their parents how reading can take you to greater heights and expose us to new experiences! All of our talented teachers, led by our fabulous literacy coach and ELA teachers, did an amazing job facilitating the literacy activities that were not only FUN but reinforced the literacy skills required for reading mastery! Way to go, RCCS! 🚀📚

NJ Soccer League is our partner helping the scholars of RCCS become exposed to team sports that they might not have access to due to cost / expenses associated. RCCS has been partners with NJ Soccer League since 2022 and because of this partnership many of our RCCS scholars continue to play soccer on community leagues and are leaders on their teams!

On November 26th Roseville Community Charter School hosted its annual "Mindfulness Art Family Night" here at the school to rave reviews! The Mindfulness Art Family Night is a major component of our S.E.L.F. & Wellness program which was implemented in SY 2019-2020 through our partnership with the Victoria Foundation / Newark Trust for Education and this program has been quite effective in creating an environment where our scholars learn how to self-regulate and manage their emotions through mindfulness strategies. The parents enjoyed the event so much that they expressed wanting to add another Mindfulness Art Night but for parents only! We think parental self-care is important which is why part of our SELF & Wellness program is devoted to parent self-care; and this suggestion fits right in with our philosophy! Celebrating our amazing Art Teacher, Ms. Solhir and our RCCS SEL Committee for coordinating this successful event; and shoutout to all the RCCS staff and families for their active participation! In addition, on the evening of this mindfulness art event, we held our "Holiday Grocery Bag Giveaway" and distributed 30 bags of groceries to food insecure families just in time for Thanksgiving and the long holiday weekend! "RCCS GIVES... and we teach our scholars and families the importance of giving back to their community through monthly service projects, SEL lessons, civics club activities, and student leadership opportunities. I am so proud of our school community for our giving spirit!"
